In October of 2007, Foursquare Missionaries, Ron and Debra Brown spoke to the New Hope family about how God had called them to love the people of South Island New Zealand.  The next day, they left for South Island...but they didn't leave alone.  They left with a church family - New Hope- supporting them financially and in prayer.

These are some of the ministries that the Brown's have pioneered in Christchurch through - Open Hands Ministry: 

• Sunday Service and fellowship
• Open for drop-in counselling Monday through Thursday
• Manchester St. Prostitution Ministry every other Tuesday evening
• Celebrate Recovery on Tuesday nights
• Kids Club Explorers on Tuesdays after school
• Exploring the Bible Studies on Thursday nights
• Kids Club Activities every Saturday afternoon
