The mission of New Hope Christian Fellowship flows from response to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) given by Jesus himself.
Jesus said that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and share the good news of salvation at home, with our neighbors and around the world!
It is with this in mind that the New Hope family is committed to the work of Missions - taking God's love to a world of people who need to know his forgiveness and that they can live an abundant, blessed life in Christ.

Arter Family Mission - Thailand
Hello All,
I spoke with one of the care takers at the boy's home several days ago. He told me that the owner had sold the house and wants them all out of the house immediately. The people in the neighborhood has wanted the boys out for a long time. They would have no place to live. These are boys from Myanmar/Burma. Each of these boys being in Thailand, now have the opportunity to receive an education with a possibility of attaining their Thai citizenship. Some of the older boys around the age of 14 or 15 are at great risk in Burma and have fled to Thailand for refuge. At that age, the DKBA (Democratic Karen Buddhist Army) comes to villages of the Christian Karen people and forces young boys to join their Army to do hard labor from ages 15 to 35. Most of the young boys join and have a short life span. If the boys refuse to join the Army comes and burns down their whole village or imposes a very heavy tax. These boys are a part of my youth group here in Mae Sot, Thailand. I have spoken to Pastor John, my senior pastor and the Thai National Foursquare President about our options of helping these boys have a place to stay. The Mae Foursquare church has a small piece of land that we would be able to use to build a temporary shelter. This temporary shelter with a roof, cement floor and bathrooms adequate for all the boys with showers would cost only $3,000 for everything. I am asking for your help in raising the $3,000 as soon as possible so these boys would have a place to stay and continue to receive an education. Bee and I have been doing what we can to purchase vegetables each week, but we need your help to build this temporary shelter. If you are not able to support financially, please lift up the boys in your prayers.
We thank you so much for all of your prayers and your support. We are trusting and believing God will provide and give these boys a place to stay until we can find a more permanent house.
May God continue to watch over and bless each of you throughout this new year!
